NEW DELHI: The social networking giant Facebook is launching a 'panic button' application on its social networking site.
The button, the company claims, aims to make the site safer for its young users. According to the company, young Facebook users will be able to report suspicious online behaviour and access internet safety advice with the launch of the new application.
They can report any abuse to the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (Ceop) and Facebook.
The launch follows months of negotiation between Ceop and Facebook. Ceop is an UK government law enforcement agency which tracks online sex offenders. The agency called for a panic button to be installed on social networking sites last November.
